The Irish Shotokan Institute was set up in 1993 so karate clubs could work together and pool knowledge in the pursuit of mastering karate. The main aim of the I.S.I. is the promotion of Traditional Shotokan Karate in Ireland. This is achieved through the provision of excellent instruction from both national and international instructors and adherence to an effective training and grading syllabus. Our technical development is overseen by Sensei Masao Kawasoe 8th Dan.
